Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues- Chakma Boy wins Logo competition
The Sixth Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues was held at the United Nations in New York from 14th-26th May 2007.
The main theme of this years session was on Indigenous Lands, Territories and Natural Resources.
Rebang Dewan, and young Chakma boy from Rangamati in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh won the international competition to design a new logo for the UN PFII. Rebang is 12 years old. He was presented with an Award from Vicky Tauli-Corpus, Chairperson of the PFII.
