Rebuilding Children's Lives through Education in Uganda

We have completed the film, Rebuilding Children's Lives through Education in Uganda for UNICEF. It is a lovely film, and charts the Go to School, Back to School, Stay in School campaign which ran in the north and norheast of the country from February-October 2007.

The films can be seen in sections on my youtube site:
  • Vanishing Rites Youtube

  • Introduction to GBS Campaign

  • GEM Mobilisation and Partnerships

  • Background to Conflict with LRA and Joseph Kony

  • Living in IDP Camps

  • Returning to Peace

  • Unearthing the Pen and Education in Karamoja

  • Challenges for Education

  • Successes of the GBS Campaign

Congratulations Ina on a job well done. I am a huge fan of your work around the world. Having just returned from Africa myself recently I can truly appreciate the importance of reporting on the realities of life throughout the continent. Thanks.

    Thanks John,

Glad you like the films. Where were you in Africa? Was the situation similar?

Northern Uganda has some amazing resilient people and children, so there is some hope. This is important.
